Sion and its Shops – Part 2
Sion has hundreds of shops – both modern and traditional, and the tagline for its retail services is “Le Plus Grand Centre Commercial du Valais”. There is even a fun little video that has been produced by the town’s commercial service website which demonstrates all the shopping possibilities. In it, a near naked man starts shopping in the town and by the end of his retail trip he has managed to purchase and obtain everything he needs from a suit to a barber’s shave, food, even a model aeroplane!
There are some quirky and interesting shops hidden away in its side streets that are worth hunting out.
The major Swiss chains: Manor, Migros and Co-op City etc can also be found in Sion. An hour’s free parking is offered to encourage shoppers to visit and shop in Sion.
