Sion is a riot of colour at the moment and the current warm weather has brought lots of trees and flowers into bloom. The painted balconies, shutters and doors are all looking lovely and the sun and blue sky add a Mediterranean feel to the place! If you plan on visiting any of the museums in the town (see previous post) it’s worth wandering up and down some of the back streets in the old town to see some of the lovely old buildings.
From the end of May to the end of September, the little “train” (Le P’tit Sédunois) will also be in operation and will carry visitors from the Tourist Office up to the old part of town.
A Sédunois is someone who comes from the town of Sion!
